FBDIS is part of a larger group of companies under the holding Blueduck SGPS (a legally registered public limited company, though strictly family-managed). Founded in 1984,the company now celebrates four decades of history. FBDIS began its operations in the Portuguese market within the non-food sector, initially focused on manufacturing and distributing plastic video and DVD cases. This positioned us, over time, to represent the ZAG/Stanley brand – specializing in DIY storage and toolboxes – across the national market. This background, deeply rooted in production capabilities and process management, has given us extensive experience and a detailed, multifaceted understanding of the business.
In 1990we began establishing strong connections and privileged relationships in the Horeca market. This naturally led to the development of our own specialized facilities, equipped with storage capacity and efficient distribution capabilities, tailored to handle the unique requirements of all types of products—whether perishable, non-perishable, fresh, or frozen food.
This experience has led to strong international connections, supported by the agile expertise we have gained in the import market, giving us a high level of proficiency in this area.
Building on this solid network, the next step has been the responsible representation of both food and non-food brands for retail, managing all stages of the import process, from storage control to mastery of distribution and delivery to our major retail partners.
Early on, we developed the tools that equipped us with the logistical capacity to meet the demanding needs of the leading players in the national retail market.
